Andrés Fernández & The Cujazz is the legacy left to us by our European and African ancestors, aiming to pay tribute to the great creators of Cubop and Afro Cuban jazz. The combination of our own compositions and standard jazz mixed with Afro Cuban rhythms is the basis of our repertoire. The goal is to promote our last album "Colores", which is a summary of the artistic career of Andrés Fernández.Andrés Fernández trombonist, composer, arranger, pedagogue, has been part of prestigious projects such as Grupo Contrabando, Gabriel Rios, Score Man, Mangold del Cobre, Richard Bona and Mandekan Cubano, Big band of the American saxophonist David Murray.

Since 1998, Jazzzolder organizes concerts every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month in Mechelen. You can find Jazzzolder in room Mandela of the second most beautiful library in the world: Het Predikheren.

The many facets of jazz music can be experienced live there. ​In a friendly atmosphere you can browse through music magazines, find announcements of upcoming performances and enjoy a drink with your (new) friends.
