"Ruben Hernandez Sextet" is the new project of Cuban trumpeter Ruben Hernandez, in which he fuses the harmonic richness of jazz with the Afro-Cuban culture that runs through his veins.

Surrounded by 5 top musicians, Hernandez immerses us in music into his inner world, his passions and emotions, with the hope that everyone who listens can appreciate the tenderness and freshness of freedom.

In this music we use elements of Afro-Cuban culture, its syncopated rhythms and the harmonic richness of jazz to compose or arrange pieces in a more modern context, adjusting to new trends.

Immersed in the permanent research of current sounds, creativity and fusion, the intention is to reflect with compositions the inner world of band leader Ruben Hernandez. Seeking to express through music lived moments, passions and emotions, with the firm conviction that could serve to the balance and self-esteem, hope and faith and that each person who listens can appreciate the tenderness and freshness of freedom.
